Called the people I got the machine from and they still have not called me to help me.

so i have a brother LS-2160 sewing machine.i haven’t used it for about 2 months so today i felt like sewing and i oiled it b4 i began…now the upper thread keeps folding at the front side of the fabric and cutting off….i am so upset i don’t know what to do?

I need to know how to thread the machine? and how to set the tension?.when it sews the stitches on top are correct. but on the bottom the thread gathers and loops and then breaks the top thread.
