Sewing machine suggestion?

I already have a brothers sewing machine, but it has been nothing but trouble since i got it. I wanna learn to sew so i can have cute and unique cloths for my senior year. What sewing machine would u suggest? It needs to be $80 or less. And easy for a beginner to learn on. Also, if you know a good website that teaches you the basics of sewing with a machine i would really appreciate it. (I do know some already from a class i had to take in school) Thanks.
I have already gone through the manual and tried to figure it out. I had absolutely no problem using other machines, this is the only one i have had trouble with, and i have read reviews from other people and they seem to have the same problem as i do.

You are not going to find a brand new sewing machine that is good for $80.
Go to a sewing machine dealer and see what used machines they have. You can demo the machine before you buy

From what you are asking, the problem with the Brother that you have could be due entirely to lack of knowing the basics of sewing machine use.

Instead of buying yet another machine that may result in your having the same problems, open up the manual for the Brother, sit down in front of the Brother and then read and apply each step of every feature – from bobbin winding through maintenance. This is the best and fastest way to learn how to use the machine that is right in front of you.

Master what you already have and use the money for patterns, fabric and sewing notions.
