What is wrong With My Sewing Machine? 10 pts?

I have tried readjusting so many things, I dont want to start destroying my machine like I am compelled to, so someone please help!

the top stitching will look fine , sometimes starts to bunch, but then when I pull the fabric up the bottom stitching is all loopy and tangled and loose. sometimes the thread will bunch up too and jam inside the machine. I dont know what to do! I have a commissioned project I need to finish NOW!

its a project runway brother machine. very new :( help

You’re not starting seams correctly and you didn’t get the thread into the upper tension.

    See: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqYKx7KOONNNJijhYdD99M3ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20110914114238AAyZf3F

And don’t miss the last pair of photos here: http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/22521551 I’ll bet the blue thread from the top in the last photo looks a lot like what you’re seeing.

You must be knowing that we have to put threads from two sides one from the upper side and the other from the lower side so the prob you are facing it is because of the lower side thread. You should check it properly it is inserted properly or not.

It sounds like your tension might need adjusting or the Bobbin thread isn’t seated properly.
Try removing all the top and bottom thread and make sure all the tension areas are free of thread bits and lint. then when you rethread make sure the thread is seated in the tension disks (sometimes you can hear or feel it click into place) properly. It is easy to get the thread in the wrong spot so try and do it slowly and carefully and watch where it is going.
Also make sure your presser foot is in the up position as I believe on many machines it will release the tension disks so you can seat the thread properly.

Also make sure you don’t push or pull the fabric while sewing. Let your feed dogs do the work. Just gently guide the fabric.

Try adjusting your top tension a little at a time to see if that helps otherwise check your manual to see the proper way to adjust your bobbin tension (if all else fails) Bobbin tensions should not be changed too much. Usually a slight bit will make a difference.

And if none of this works you might need to take it in for adjustments.

    Good luck.

There is likely nothing wrong with the machine.

Make sure you are following the instructions for threading – always with the presser foot up.

Check the bobbin to be sure the thread is feeding in the correct direction and through the tension gauge on the side of the bobbin case.
