Jumbo Magna Hoop Magnetic Hoop System Brother/Babylock

Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I’m having.

I just bought a Babylock Ellure BLR, and I’m just learning how to use it. The machine came with a couple of designs already sewn onto fabric, like for an example. When I try to do the same design, the stitches aren’t really that tight together when I try doing the same design. You can see small gaps in between each stitch.

I’m stitching on 100% cotton fabric with a tearaway stabilizer with polyster embroidery thread.

I tried putting 2 sheets of stabilizer but it only helps a little bit.
Also, I’m using a 70/11 ball point needle.

I have a good basic sewing machine(babylock) so what would be a good reasonable machine that could do embroidery and machine quilting or would I need to just have 2 seperate machines? I am still new to sewing/quilting and would like a machine that’s fairly easy to use and easy on price.Any suggestions would be great.

I havent used one before but there is a deal on the sofia babylock embroidery/sewing machine 699.00 but im am unsure of which to get between the sofia or brother one at walmart, they look identical just about but the sofia has a usb port vs the brother just having a card port.

Anyone who knows much about machines help me out here should I spend the extra for what seems like a usb port?
