I have a singer sewing machine and I can’t get it to work properly. I don’t know if I’m forgetting to set some part of it up or something but it doesn’t automatically let the fabric move through it and it doesn’t stitch. Can someone please help me?

I literally JUST got this machine. It was working once I finally removed it from the box and threaded it, but I turn it on the next day to practice on some fabrics, and for some reason, the needle won’t catch the bobbin thread. I try to sew and the bottom part of my fabric gets all mangled and I have to take out the bobbin just to cut out the thread.
PLEASE help. I don’t want to take this back and i really hope it’s a simple fix.
Any help would be great.

I have the Brother CE5000-PRW sewing machine and bent the twin needle that came with it. The needle part number in the manual is 131096-121 but I can’t seem to locate the twin needle by the part number. The twin needle package is written in a foreign language so can’t get much help from that. Anyone have any ideas on what is a compatible twin needle for my machine or can someone point me to a good cross reference guide.

Looking for Sew Crafty Mini Sewing Machine Instructions. I got mine for free with no box and no instructions. I don’t know how to sew, even. Does anyone have instructions on how to use it and how to know if I am missing any parts
To the responder who suggested it.. unfortunately I have already been to the Provocraft site and have attempted emailing them but received no response.

It has a manual already but the manual does not fit the machine I have. It shows parts that my machine does not have.

My granddaughter got a bratz sewing machine for Christmas and her step little sisters lost alot of the parts , where do I go for like plastic bobbins, the needles, as the the machine does really work?

I have a table from a Sears Sewing Machine, model # 117 332. No sewing machine, just the table, in reasonable shape except that part of one hinge is missing (the top unfolds to make additional workspace.) Does anyone have an idea of whether this has any value or where I could find out?

I don’t know how it came out but i can’t get it back in. Know what it is? How do i make it stay?
…more details- this is a thin wire/ pin about the same thickness as a needle and a little longer, T shaped at one end. It fits in a very small hole just to the right of the needle hole on the same side as the screw to tighten the needle. When in place the only part you can see is the little T part sticking out near the top part of the needle. This wire/pin thing fits all the way up along the post (that the part with the screw that tightens the needle attaches to. Because it wouldn’t stay in, I could tighten the screw but it wouldn’t tighten to fit part that actually holds the needle (the part with the screw) to the machine. Its a Brother sewing machine- not too fancy- i dont know the model number. Thanks again

I have a Kenmore sewing machine. The plastic lever that raises and lowers the foot moves freely and does not move the foot anymore. The metal shaft that the foot is on does not seem to move up and down. It is on a large spring inside. The plastic lever does not seem to make contact inside with any of the metal parts.

What can I do to fix this?

I’ve got an old New Home sewing machine, model 470 still in it’s orignal wood cabinet. It’s got some 1950s era Greist attachments. I know that it works because I remember seeing my old hag of a step-mother using it,…However, it is missing it’s pedal.
Is this worth repairing/replacing parts to sell? Or should I just donate it?

My friend just gave me a shiny new Singer Simple sewing machine. So I decided to try and sew my first project today.
I was able to figure out how to thread the top part, but the bottom is a whole different story. There are all kinds of weird metal parts down there, and I can’t figure out how I’m supposed to set up the bobbin. I mean, I can see how it fits, but how is the thread supposed to go through?
Can you guys help? O_O

I am a novice in sewing. Just recently I made a pillow for my daughter and I had a hard time making the piping for the edge of the pillow. Is there a special presser foot for making piping? I plan on making another pillow and want to do piping again. Are they all pretty standard? I have a machine that is a no-name brand. I’m not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I am looking for an antique sewing machine with cabinet and the sewing machine folds into the table. Preferably a sewing machine that works and doesn’t need any parts. Looking for something that is in good shape and not expensive. Less than 100 dollars.

It appears to have the thumb screw that keeps the needle attached and a part that you theoretically screw down to tighten some how to keep it attached. It dosen’t keep the piece on! It is a Brother XL-5340… please help!

I purchased the manual for my Kenmore sewing machine (model # 158-10400) and as far as I can tell I need a different needle plate to use the zigzag feature. Is this correct?

If so, what does it look like and where can I find one cheap? It says it is part # 38295. I would like to avoid getting it from company as it is usually more money that way.

But if I don’t need a different needle plate, then how DO I use the zigzag??? I turned the dial to ‘zigzag’ position, but nothing happens. In fact, I can sew a straight stitch for quite a while with it set to zigzag…

Also, is there a name for the sewing machine needles with flat backs, or just called flat backs? I need those too.

I’m thinking this will help. When I sew there are a lot of strings hanging from the back and one thread is not connected (you know how u usually have to cut them off? these just come off)
if i pull it the threads come right out so im thinking its an interior problem. Its a brother LS1520
