Im planning on an making an animation series, but before I get working on storyboarding, I need some advice on main characters, I’ve been trying to add depth to. Please tell me if this villian sounds cliche’. (Keeping in mind this series will be fantasy.)
Sinclair Aelobisa
Age: 216
Design: Sinclair looks extremely youthful due to EVE in her bloodstream (EVE is the term for magic in the story), giving her the build of a 16 year old woman. Her hair and iris are white due to lack of pigment. Her hairstyle involves slanted bangs and long wavy hair, with signature hair buns on the side. She dresses in a rather Victorian-esque appeal, with collar’s ruffle’s, but with armor plates sewn in for combat purposes. Shes rather beautiful, which deeply contrasted by her personality.
Personality/Story: Abuse and abandonment scarred her in her childhood. Being left to fend for herself in the snowy wastelands of her home country Urcoria, she got her education from any village she could tear down. Solitary life has given her extreme narsissicm, since the only person who she could admire was herself. Like the protagonist of my story, she was born a Guardian, a division of humans that had enough EVE in there body to regenerate cells as fast as they die; creating immortality. Because of the magic (Darkness to be exact) in her body, she became a formidable killing machine, most well equipped with a blade. By the time she turned 16, she was an intelligent, deadly, and sociopathic monster with no sense of apathy or mercy.
Objective: Sinclair hates the world she lives in, and as such desires to achieve god-hood to wipe it out and create the world she always wanted.
Method: Being a Guardian, her own supersoldier characteristics make her an almost unstopable force. With all the Dark EVE in her body she assembled an army of dark creatures she named the “Sanctus”, which she commands at will.
Criticism is wanted please!

H a l o
She lay on my operating table; my insides churned. My thoughts mixed together; I was apprehensive. All the negative thoughts surrounding her, and the question if she would live, weighed me down. My hands lay flat on the table, next to her beautiful torso. I clenched them, feeling light-headed. She was all I had ever sought after, all I had ever wanted to accomplish. If her eyes did not open, my heart would break inside my chest.
Open your eyes, my lovely. Live for me. Please, please, my angel.
The life support machine beeped. She was alive. She was a living person, but unresponsive. Her chest inflated when she inhaled, and went down when she exhaled. My heart skipped; there was a pressure on my chest and sweat gathered among my brow. My greatest fear was that she would not wake; that she would never live to experience life as I wanted her too. She was my greatest creation; she was far more advanced than a simple science fair project. She was going to be a real, living person.
All was dark around me except for her. Lamps hung over our heads, illuminating our skin. The lamp light enlightened her complexion, creating a somewhat transparent neon green look to her skin. She was striking, even as a sewn up doll.
Frustration and hopelessness slowly seeped into me; the thought of her never waking strangled me. She had to; I did everything right. Everything about her was fine; she was alive. She just had to wake from her coma. I unclenched my fists and looked down at my hands, blood gathering around the indents that I had been pressing my nails into. I felt so unfinished, my vision blurred and tears pooled around my eye lids. She was never going to open her eyes. It was all a waste of my time, my mind, and my heart. I shut my eyes tightly and silently sobbed. My skin burned as each tear peeled from my eyes and slid down my cheeks.
I heard a sudden cracking of a voice, as if someone was trying to speak but there was sand in their throat. My heart stopped beating as I opened my eyes and looked down at her through my teary fog. A grin played itself over my face and the happiest half hour of my life began. Her mouth was open slightly and her eyes wide in fear. Her irises resembled lime green jell-o: they caught me off guard. The eyes that I had picked out for her were weren’t that green. Perhaps it was the chemicals in her system that caused such a reaction.
She stared up at me, frightened. I smiled at her. I wanted to do so much more though. I wanted to jump up and down and laugh! Finally! I had a daughter of my own. I would have to make her feel loved, all of the time. I gently patted her black wavy hair; it felt soft between my fingers. Some of the confusion and fear left her facial expression and she lightly smirked at me. I knew that she knew who I was. Even though she was completely ignorant towards everything in the world; she was aware that I was there for her and for eternity would be.
I took my hand from her hair and held it out to her. She raised her hand to mine and placed her palm against it. I gripped her tighter, and slowly pulled her up so she was sitting up right. I was in love, not in the romantic sexual way… but in the way that a father loves his daughter.
She took her hand from mine and raised both of hers in front of her face; her mouth hung open as she examined her fingers. Her focus shifted and her hands fell slowly. She stared wide-eyed at her thighs, then gently touched her skin. When she felt the texture of her flesh she looked up at me, very surprised. She was really, just too cute. Even though she was built to look like a 20 year old, she was similar to a new born. Well, she was a new born – technically. She looked away from me and went back to investigating her body. She moved her fingers diagonally across her waist, feeling the stitches. Her eyes squinted in confusion.
I had wrapped white ribbon around her, so she was not exposed. The ribbon went over her breasts: They went down between her thighs, then travelling under and up her back. She was very thin. I didn’t want to make her so skinny, but I had a limited amount of resources. Her torso and legs were elongated and her stomach was stitched from her right rib cage to her hip bone. I would eventually be able to take out the stitches, once her flesh began to heal.
I looked at her lovingly: I felt so complete. I had nothing to worry about; I could finally be happy. She raised her hands to my face slowly; her lips curved upward and her eyes smiled at me as well. She placed her hands on the side of my face and felt the feeling of my skin. Her body was warm. In a way it made me feel even more accomplished and even happier. She grinned wider at me as my smile increased.
“Your name will be Halo, because you’re my angel,” I said.
Halo giggled a little: she grinned from ear to ear. It was just so cute, I had to hug her. I wrappe
. I wrapped my arms around her thin, frail body and I held her against me. Her arms pressed against my chest and I pressed my face into her collarbone. I had a feeling of great improvement. I was going to be a better person because of her. I just knew I was.
I had a lot of educating to do, but it would all be for the better. Her existence was for the better. All the calculating, all the work I had gone through was over now and I could begin to enjoy it. I held her tighter and felt tears of joy spilled from my eyes.
“I love you, my daughter, Halo.”

My Grandparent’s Special Gifts
Paint me a picture Yayo,
one that will last forever
Fine yellow streaks of sunlight,
with clouds that are fluffy and white.
Guide my hand and help me through
The painting process as you do.
For this moment I cherish in my heart
Your precious gift from God for art
Bake me a cake Yaya
One with senses that can’t be replaced
With a vanilla aroma surrounding us,
And creamy milk that shines with lust
Direct me while stirring the bowl,
To cleaning the kitchen high and low
for this I will surely treasure
Your precious talents of homemade pleasures
Tell me a story Abuelo,
one that can be passed on for generations
telling theses sentences and phrases,
leaves me thinking and amazes.
Teaching me choices good and bad
Looking up to you because you’re never mad,
For this is gift is awarded first place,
Your precious gift of being friendly with grace.
Sew me a dress Abuela,
one with linens that I won’t forget
work the machine and watch your foot tap
while I’m sitting upon your lap.
Steer me while crocheting dazzling loops,
“””””””””””?????????????
Each stitch with kindness and love,
Your precious talents of hand-work from above

Hey, last night whilst eating a pasta bake, stupidly, I dropped some down my new white Hollister T-Shirt. The T-Shirt is all white, apart from at the top, on the front, where ‘Hollister’ is sewn on, this part is burgundy. Some of the pasta sauce is on the letter i in Hollister and some is just on the plain white part of the T-Shirt.
I have put the T-Shirt in a basin full of hot kettle water and some vanish powder, but it hasn’t done anything, so I put the T-Shirt in the washing machine, and still, it hasn’t come out, I did not dry the T-Shirt, and have put it in another basin full of hot kettle water and vanish powder, but I don’t think the stain is coming out.
I would appreciate any ways of getting the stain out without fading the colours, or making them run please!
If You would like to see what top it is for more clarity on if the colours will run, follow this link:

Help is appreciated, I must get this stain out!
Thanks, Jordan

I have a white Teddy bear with a red ribbon sewn to his neck and made with polyester fiber and it has gotten very dirty. To a point where it’s almost gray now. I was wondering how I could wash it.
I know a washing machine is out because I tried hand-washing it and I had gotten to close to the ribbon and a part of it’s fur turned pink. I have thought of taking it off but it’s mouth a nose are sewn with a red string. So the problem is still there.
After hand washing it it still was dirty. I don’t know what to do to clean it up without ruining it.

Yesterday, I was making a pillow for my sister out of two white pieces of felt. I had sewed a little red heart on the middle of the pillow. Feeling confident, I started to hand-sew it fast. All was going well…. until I made a big knot in the thread. I sewed almost two sides of the pillow together, so I don’t want to restart and rip out the threading. How would I be able to fix it? Just cut it off and sew over the part it got cut off at? lol I hope this makes sense to experienced sewers, and don’t say “Use a machine, it’s easier” because we don’t have one.

a mans descent into insanity. The Main character will be traumatized by something and his mind will start slipping in little ways at first until finally ending up in the most extreme and grand fashion. A first person look at severe insanity so that the main chareacter seems to be the sane one in a jigsaw world of horrors and plain impossibilities in his rational mind until the weight of the situation as he tries to handle crushes him leaving him institutionalized as he tries to restore order and process everything causing him to eventually bring down his own life along the way as it makes as little sense to him as the rest of the fantastic world he has lost himself in as he grows unable to tell the difference between reality and fantasy. It will end with him coming to terms with his new world and walking with society as if completely normal to the
average person.
I believe I’ll have a very dark ending in which he kills the real person who is trying to help him believing her to be one of the thingfs out of place in his world when he finally snaps before coming to aknowlege the new order.
Following is a list of things that will be in the novel somehow that will sort of blend in and out of reality.
Dancing Shadow People
Night Dancing Statues
Doors to places that Shouldn’t Exist
Giant Black Dog running in the distance on an otherwise completely dead night.
Extremely elongated shadow people walking across a street light completely blocking out light for
an instant.
Humanoid monsters that walk on their arms and legs upside down with their heads backwards.
Charred black stains in the form of people on walls.
A single tree with leaves like burning red embers thats trunk jerks violently in all directions
creating the illusions of it being ablaze.
Ordinary things that for some reason lack shadows.
long foggy pathways that stretch on for what seems like forever.
A forest of vaguely humanesque forms in contorted pained poses frozen like trees.
Nearly Invisible Razor Wire Lined between trees in a forest like a maze.
giant Centipedes (less Cliched than Spiders but equailly if not more disturbing.
A Spirit world full of odd beings that are completely foreign to our world and defy all our
knowledge.
Large Black Birds that Stare
Mauled white Birds
A single man in a black or white suit wearing An innocent looking mask that seems to be able to
appear and dissapear at will.
Things moving at speeds unnatural for them and out of place in their environment.
Wandering Mansions with awkward decor and ever shifting rooms and coridors.
Completely and undoubtably insane people with a love of violence.
Serpent-like water spirits
A Mutilated person bound in a straight jacket eith all facial opening sewn shut but still alive
talking skulls
A Beautiful long Black Haired woman on an odd throne with an aura of cruelty (haven’t quite worked
it out yet)
Gold and white clock-like machines that control fates.
Original Gods with very strange appearances and customs.
A child spawned from a plant with the ability to draw life from those around it.
A Curse that turns the beautiful ugly in the eyes of the cursed
A guiding spirit
A Schizophrenic child
A mirror room with strange proportions.

I’m using felt to make eye balls for a crochet stuffed animal. They are your typical white cartoon-y eyeballs with a black oval pupil. I was using white felt, and painting on the black pupil with a black “Slick” Tulip paint. But I can’t get the tulip paint to be smooth enough to satisfy me. It just doesn’t look as good as I’d like. So I bought black felt, but I really really don’t want to sew the black to the white. I’m making A LOT of these, so anything to save time would help. These are machine washable toys, so reg. glue or hot glue won’t cut it and I don’t have any fabric glue. So do you think I could use the Tulip paint? It is washable…
On their website, there are instructions for using it to glue rhinestones to fabric…so maybe?

S Where online can you find how much your boyd’s bears are worth?
Please dont say E bay! For one reason, I have no clue how to work e bay, and two, I have bears that are retired and a few limited edition bears and I just would like to know the value of them. Also, I have a few bears that do NOT have tags but still has the sewn on tag on their bottoms or legs….I’d like to know their names. Some have investment collectables tags on them… some have a sewn on tag on the bottom of their foot that says commemorative edition with all the attached tags….three have gotton a tiny bit dingy like the white ones; and I would like to wash them.. should I take them to the dry cleaners? Or washing machine? Any insight on websites that list todays value for retired bears, or limited edition bears… ANY website that you can type in the tags numbers and the bears imfo pops up…. anything like that is what i am hoping for. Thanks guys!

I really am tired of being referred to these ‘dream interpretation generators’. I’d like a -human being- to interpret my dream, to see what they think about it, not some machine judging it by the words. So, please. Can anyone tell me what my nightmare below means? For the record – I think the little girl is a younger version of me.. which is disturbing.
It started out on a rooftop. The roof was slightly slanted, but shingled, and looked to be one of many in an old-time British town of some sort. Like the type you see in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. In the distance large towers billowing steam surrounded the entire area, so it was like one big basin.
There was a little girl. She had short blond hair, peach skin, and bright blue eyes, and was wearing a magenta colored backpack over a white skirt, black stockings, a pair of white sneakers and a bright yellow coat with white cuffs and trim.
I was in first person mode, at first. She just started to jog and hop from roof to roof, as if she were just climbing over a playground or something. I suppose I was worried about her, so I followed her.
It wasn’t long before we came to a park. The roofs stopped until there were just three, one lower than the other, and two trees next to the lowest one. People were walking on the sidewalk below, and a woman was sitting on the bench, sewing. A man in a brown overcoat wearing a business suit had stopped to check his cellphone for something, putting down his brief case in the meantime.
The little girl walked to the edge of the roof, carefully leaning out to grab a tree branch, so she could climb out and down the tree. The trees were both fairly skinny and while they looked like they could hold a little girl, they didn’t look like they could hold a full grown man.
By now, as she climbed down, she was talking to someone named “Bob” or “Rob” or something along those lines, I can’t remember. She was saying things like “We’re going to have so much fun, bob!” “You wait! This is going to be awesome.” “And we’ll do this, and we’ll do this..” Things like that.
This is when it turned into a third person mode. I saw myself as a black-haired man in a dark blue business suit. I thought it was dangerous for her to be climbing down, and so I said “You shouldn’t climb down like that.”
I walked over to the other tree, and hesitantly began to climb down. Even though it didn’t look sturdy, it seemed to hold me up just fine, so much so that I was able to climb down fast.
Up until now, the people hadn’t been paying attention to either of us. But as soon as I started climbing down they were suddenly all gathered around the tree I was climbing down, and clambering, telling me to be careful, to watch out, to come down before I hurt myself. The tree the little girl was climbing down was -right- next to mine, but they seemed to ignore her completely.
By the time I reached the ground, I tried to move through the people to the other tree, saying “I’m fine! What about the little girl?”
Then, as soon as I turned around, the woman on the bench stood and dropped her sewing, pointing up above me with a horrid, terrified scream.. And the next thing I know, the little girl falls from her tree, landing right in front of me with a horrible crunch. I’m able to notice how her body is crumpled and mis-placed in certain spots, and how she bleeds, before I wake up. When I woke up, my entire body was frozen, and it felt like my nerves all over were having electricity coursing through them, like that certain stage after your leg falls asleep.
_______
I wrote it down as soon as I woke up and right after the paralyzing wore off, so it’s pretty accurate.

I’m making a quilt for my niece’s graduation. The pattern alternates large 7 1/2 inch batik squares with four-square patches of black and white. So far, so good. All the batiks are cut, and all of the four-patch squares are sewn with standard 1/4 inch seams.
The pattern called for 3 1/2 squares to make up the four-patches. So now I have all of these four-patches that are 1/2 in larger in both dimensions than the batik squares … and the only way I can figure how to fix this so that they’re the same size as the batiks is to carefully cut off 1/4 inch off each side of the four-patches. We’re talking 50 of them. How best to do this? Time is of the essence; I don’t have a lot of spare sewing time to begin with, and this is now putting me further behind — with quilting and binding yet to be done! (Needless to say, I’ll be machine quilting in-the-ditch if I ever get to that point!)

Please improve or Say why it was good(A 12 year old girl in 1850)
This story will be in chapters
This is chapter 1
My soft brown hair whipped around her shoulder as the wind rushed behind me. It was bitter cold and the streets were filthy. My ruffled dirty skirt twirled around me as I made my way through the streets of london. I was ready for another day of work at the sewing factory.
Lilly greeted me at my machine. Her hair was tied back in a untidy bun. Two bobby pins stabbed right through the center. I pushed the ropes farther as Lilly folded the silk in a small square stack.
“So what do you plan to do for your birthday Anastasia?”
“What am I supposed to do? I only make two dollars a week. Jesus have mercy on me to just buy a small pastry!”
She giggled and got back to folding.
We sat at the corner of our room and ate the small biscuit.
“Can’t they treat us with a little care?I mean for all I know, I have only tasted the stale flavor of a biscuit!”Lilly said gloomily.
“Soft white crumpets with warm honey would taste like heaven.”Anastasia exclaimed.
We both worked at our stations quietly. We spoke here and there but we both thought deeply. Of what life would be like if we weren’t cramped up in a small dirty room. And what it would be like if there were no reasons why us girls shouldn’t be allowed to be free. It was questionable. And we always thought, Is it possible?
When our work hours were over, the stars shined down on us. The night sky was dark and dreary. Small specks of rain splashed down onto our shoulders.
“Rats. More rain tonight. Putrid rain.”
“I know Anastasia. It always seems like some reason every night rain has to fall. I wish I knew why. Maybe some sign from God?”
“All I know is a miracle is the only thing that will save us from our debts.”
We both walked to the corner of the street and sat down. I fumbled with my fingers for a minute. Looking up at the dark sky.
“What are you thinking Anastasia?”
“Well. If maybe one day, we could have a dream. Just for a day. And then back to our poor lives.”
“That would be nice. Keep praying Anastasia.”
Lilly fell asleep on the cold hard concrete. But I didn’t. Eyes wide open, knees tucked in as my arms wrapped around them. And then I whispered
“Please, Just please.”
Then I fell asleep hoping my wish would follow through.

Hi there, I’m getting birds nesting from my pfaff.
I’m sewing a black dress, so I bought black thread for it. I usually use white thread and it’s great. One thing I just noticed was that my white thread is considerably thinner. It’s great, and sews just fine.
However, when I try to use my black thread, I get terrible birds nests along all of the bottoms of my seams. I’ve sewn the same fabric with my white thread and it’s fine. They’re both 100% polyester thread. I removed the metal plate covering the space near the feed dogs so I could see what was happening when I threaded the needle… it appears to get stuck sometimes when the bobbin part turns. I tried rethreading the whole machine and also adjusting the tension to no avail. Do I have to buy new thread? I don’t want white seams on my black dress.
Thanks!

Hi! I’m trying to make a short (mid thigh to just above the knee) skirt as part of my halloween costume. I’m going as wonder woman, and found the pattern (blue with white stars) in spandex. I’m wondering, could anyone help me out with this? It has to be something easy, as I am not an expert with sewing, and it will be done by hand without a machine. Also, I’d like it to be flowy. I was not sure whether I should attempt a drawstring or just attach elastic to the top? Whatever is easiest!! I really appreciate any suggestions!! Thank you so much!
(I will have to cut my own pattern, but I think I know how to do that?? Suggestions here would be great too! Clearly, I am a novice…) Thank you again!
Thank you very much. I will try that! But might I ask, if I do a fold and cut out the front and back and make side seams, is that going to be very difficult in comparison? (By using 2 pieces, I mean.)
Thank you again for your help!

I was sewing the quilt top when I ran out of thread. So I quickly grabbed the only white thread I had. Later, after I sewed several pieces together I realized it was embroidery thread! I don’t remember exactly which pieces I sewed either. What do I do now? Will the seams hold? I was thinking maybe when I quilt it to machine stitch around all the seams. What do you think? HELP! =) thanks!

I’m wanting to do an anbu cosplay from Naruto. I don’t have any sewing ability, but I might be able to ask my grandma to help sew IF she has the machine. I have the pants, mask, and shirt. All I pretty much need are the arm protectors and the white vest.
Any ideas?
This is what I’m looking for:

We found this machine in our alley. Somebody dumped it. It sames Conlon in fancey red letters on the front. It has pull out/ pop up selves on it and is white. We think it is some kind of fabric roller. It has this big blot of cloth underneith/ inside it. It is also electric. What is this contraption? Something to do with sewing?

1.On January 1, 1824, Sarah Chldress married James K. Polk who later became America’s eleventh President.2. Sarah Polk a good Christian woman prohibited alcoholic beverages, dancing, and card playing in the White House. 3. I’ve been looking for a book I had as a child for years, but don’t remember enough information to help in finding it.
It was a thin, semi-large sized book with mostly pictures and a small amount of writing.
It was about a girl finding a maze-like castle/house in the middle of a forest I believe and having to go through halls and strange fantasy rooms to eventually find a wizard and take over as owner of the house (I believe).
I distinctly remember black and white checkered halls, a room where the scissors and sewing machines and objects had eyes and were alive and attacking her, and the same human-like features in all scenes depicted in objects in the book.
The artwork was beautiful and i’d really love to be able to find it again.
